Abilene man arrested for 'under-reporting' receipts, sales tax at Abilene bar
ABILENE, Texas —
An Abilene man has been arrested -- accused of under-reporting receipts and sales tax at an Abilene bar.
Investigators said a former employee at Lone Star Bar said 46-year-old Charles Scott Seale instructed them to not ring up payments by customers or to show less than what was actually paid.
Officers said Seale under-reported about $20,000 in receipts and about $1,600 in sales tax.
Jail records show he was released after posting bail Friday, the same day he was arrested. His bond had been set at $5,000.
