Abilene man indicted after pulling out a gun on a clerk at a 7-Eleven
ABILENE, Texas —
A Taylor County grand jury indicted an Abilene man on Thursday for an aggravated robbery in 2016.
Devon Tanaka Jackson, 28, reportedly went into a 7-Eleven convenience store in June of 2016, pointed a pistol at the store's clerk and asked the clerk to “empty out the register.”
The clerk denied Jackson's request and Jackson responded with “come on, man.” Then the clerk asked Jackson to get out of the store, which Jackson ended up doing.
Surveillance video later identified Jackson as the man who came into the store while being armed.
The clerk then picked Jackson out of a six-photo lineup, days after the incident occurred.
Jackson was charged with aggravated robbery and his bond was set at $50,000.
