Baseball: Wylie claims Class 4A state championship
AUSTIN, Texas - No. 1 ranked Abilene Wylie defeated Salado, 3-2, to claim the Class 4A state championship at Disch Falk Field in Austin.
It was the Bulldogs' first state tournament title in program history.
Wylie ended the year 32-3-1. Salado finished 30-12.

No. 1-ranked Abilene Wylie is squaring off against unranked Salado in the Class 4A state championship tonight at Disch Falk Field on the University of Texas campus.
The game is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, Wylie (31-3-1) defeated Texarkana Pleasant Grove, 7-5, and Salado (30-11) upended Robinson, 7-1, in the state semifinals.
While Robinson finished 29-4, Pleasant Grove ended the season with a 27-5 mark.
