Controversial rezoning tabled at Abilene City Council meeting
ABILENE, Texas - It will be another couple of weeks before Abilene City Council makes a decision on rezoning of land at 4500 Antilley Road. The rezoning of 26 acres across from Wylie High School was been up for final reading at Thursday's meeting. The new zoning would allow for the construction of multi-family homes and townhouses, along with some neighborhood offices. Council voted to table the issue as they were short members needed if a super majority vote was necessary. The rezoning will now be up for a final reading at meeting on July 28.
