"Future Cougars" football camp begins Tuesday

ABILENE, TX - For those of you with some young aspiring football players, Tuesday and Wednesday morning is a chance for them to learn from the experts.

Cooper head football coach Todd Moebes and staff are hosting the 5th annual "Future Cougars" football camp.

The camp is for Kindergarten through 8th graders, at the football fieldhouse where they will get first-hand instruction on beginning drills, and an understanding of the game from the coaching staff and some of Cooper's varsity players.

If you haven't registered, late registration begins at 8:30 am Tuesday before the camp begins at 9 a.m. Both Tuesday and Wednesday, sessions run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Coach Todd Moebes sees this as a chance for the next generation to get a head start in their instruction.

"To do the ‘Future Coog's' camp is an opportunity to teach the game of football and bring the youth from the south side of Abilene to come and really starting developing relationships and teaching them the game of football," he said.
