Garage Band Woodstock presents largest donation yet to New Horizons
ABILENE, Texas - An annual music fest that began just eight years ago in Abilene is now making a big difference for children across Texas. Seven bands came together in July to play classic rock hits at the 8 th annual Garage Band Woodstock, but they also raised money for children in need. Tuesday, the event's organizers presented a $20,000 check to New Horizons, which will benefit children staying at the Audrey Grace House in Abilene. The donation is the largest Garage Band Woodstock has given since it started up, but organizers say they expect even bigger and better things for next year's event. Since the event began, Garage Band Woodstock has given to multiple organizations, including West Texas Rehab Center and Meals on Wheels.
