Grand jury indicts Abilene man for sexual assault of a child
ABILENE, Texas - An Abilene man could go to trial for a fourth charge of sexual assault of a child.
Juan Merced Garcia Jr., 22, is accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in Jan. 2016.
Court documents revealed the person who reported the assault claimed it was not the first time Garcia was arrested for assaulting the same girl.
KTXS found more court documents in that arrest.
Garcia was arrested in Oct. 2015 for aggravated sexual assault of a child. The victim, who was 13 at the time, claimed she and Garcia were boyfriend and girlfriend.
A Taylor County grand jury indicted Garcia in that case on three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child in Feb. 2016.
