Hooters patrons brave the cold to claim their year of free wings
Hooters’ new Abilene location opened Tuesday and dozens were lined up at the door to claim their free wings.
Hooters had offered up one year of free wings to the first 25 customers in the door on opening day.
The line began forming at 4 a.m. on Monday when Chris Lopez Aguero of Dallas set up camp outside of the restaurant.
Although Hooters’ doors did not open until 4 p.m., the crowd had surpassed 25 by 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Hooters is located in the 2000 block of Overland Trail, near the intersection of Interstate 20 and Highway 351.
