KTXS Forecast: Lingering thunderstorm chances through mid-week

Wednesday afternoon is expected to be mostly sunny with highs still above normal in the upper 80s/ low 90s and winds will be out of the south at 5-10 mph. As we move through the afternoon and into the evening/ overnight hours we will see a 20-30 percent chance of scattered thunderstorms once again with the possibility of severe weather. Lows will be in the mid/ upper 60s with partly cloudy conditions.

For Thursday, rain chances will linger but become isolated at best through the day. Highs will remain in the low/ mid-90s with southerly winds at 5-15 mph. Thursday night we are going to be partly cloudy and in the upper 60s/ low 70s.

Friday and Saturday look like they will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with highs warming even more to the mid/ upper 90s across the region. Winds will also build in out of the south at 10-20 mph both days with isolated rain chances through this period. Overnight lows are expected to be mild in the low 70s with partly cloudy skies.

Sunday and Monday currently look like they will be partly cloudy with highs in the upper 80s/ low 90s and winds will be out of the southeast both days at 5-10 mph. There will also be a 20-30 percent chance of scattered thundershowers through this time with a low severe weather threat. Overnight low temperatures during this period will be in the mid/ upper 60s with continued cloud cover and rain chances.

Currently, for Tuesday, it looks like rain chances will start to decrease. Skies are going to remain partly cloudy with highs around normal in the mid/ upper 80s and winds will be from the south at 5-10 mph.
