ABILENE, Texas - Police continued Monday to look for suspects in Sunday's early morning shooting and stabbing assault at a north Abilene sports bar.

An investigation into the altercation about 1 a.m. Sunday at MC Sports Bar and Taqueria Club in the 4000 block of North 1 st Street has resulted in police identifying one of the four suspects.

"His identify is not being released at this time due to the ongoing investigation," an Abilene Police Department news release said.

No arrests had been made as of 12:30 p.m. Monday.

According to police, a preliminary investigation revealed an argument between two males started inside the bar. It also showed one of the suspects entered the bar and began arguing with Vincent Balbuena and that he left the bar and "came back a short time later with three other subjects."

"Three of them attacked Victor Balbuena… possibly stabbing and shooting him," the release said, referring to a victim who was taken to Hendrick Medical Center.

The bar's owner, Hector Carmona, was also injured – possibly stabbed and shot – in the fight as he tried to break it up, police said. Carmona was eventually flown to Lubbock for treatment.

Two other people in the bar were also injured by debris. Police have said while Carmona was taken to Lubbock, the three others were taken to Abilene hospitals. A fifth person was injured but declined treatment.
