Vigil to be held in Abilene to remember Orlando shooting victims
ABILENE, Texas - An additional vigil is scheduled to be held in Abilene this weekend in the wake of Sunday's deadly shooting at an Orlando nightclub.
Organizers say the victims from that night -- 49 reported dead and 53 reported injured as of Monday -- will be individually honored during the memorial vigil.
The vigil will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Exodus Metropolitan Community Church, located at 1933 South 27 th Street.
Dozens of people gathered in downtown Abilene late Sunday to pray and reflect on the event, which was the worst mass shooting ever in U.S. history.
