Warrant executed at Abilene business, man arrested on drug charges

Francisco Javier Nuncio

ABILENE, Texas - Abilene police arrested a 43-year-old man Wednesday after approximately 238 grams – or 8.44 ounces – of methamphetamine was found during the execution of a search warrant at a north side business.

Taken into custody was Francisco Javier Nuncio, who has been charged with first-degree felony delivery of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance.

According to police, the estimated street value of the meth is $23,800.

Agents "located several items of evidence related to the distribution of these illegal narcotics, such as scales and packaging items," an APD news release said Thursday.

The warrant was executed in the 3200 block of North Judge Ely Boulevard.

"Nuncio is not an employee of the Abilene Livestock Auction," Abilene police Sgt. Lynn Beard said in an email. "He worked on the grounds [at a nearby business] as an employee of an independent trucking company to service/wash cattle trucks as they come and go."
