Accident damages Albany doughnut shop

ALBANY, Texas - An overnight accident in Albany damaged a local doughnut shop.

Just after midnight Thursday, an East Texas man was hauling loaded trailers to Hobbs, N.M., when he rounded a curve in the road too fast and lost the load.

Police Chief Lynn Wilkins told KTXS the eight trailers came to rest up against the porch of the doughnut shop.

According to Wilkins, the driver was cited for various offenses but wasn't injured.
