Burn ban passed in Scurry County

Burn ban

Scurry County commissioners implemented a burn ban on Tuesday.

That means no outdoor burning of any kind is allowed.

Snyder has only gotten .1" of rain since the first of the year. As a result, Scurry County is in a severe drought.

Scurry joins a list of at 123 counties around Texas under a burn ban, according to the Texas A&M Forest Service.

Among those, 15 are in the Big Country and Concho Valley:
