Missing Clyde police K9 found

CLYDE, Texas -- A missing Clyde Police Department K9 has been found.

Achilles was found at Reed's Farm Store, roughly a half mile from the Clyde police officer's house on FM 18 -- just east of the Clyde city limits -- where the animal has been staying.

"I'm going to sleep well tonight," officer Christopher Barnett told KTXS, noting he had stayed up all night looking for the dog.

Barnett said the animal was like one of his kids. He said he couldn't help but fear something bad had happened.

KTXS will provide additional details as they become available.
