Father and son indicted for murder of Stamford man
JONES COUNTY, Texas - A father and son were officially charged with murder for the death of a 26-year-old man in Stamford.
Jesse Arms was killed May 8 after getting into an argument with another man, according to his mother, Melissa Arms. Police said he was shot in the neck in the driveway of her Stamford home at about 2 a.m.
Stamford police arrested 25-year-old Barry Lee Bailey Jr. shortly after Arms' death and charged him with murder.
He was indicted for murder on May 31, and according to court documents, his father was also involved in the shooting.
Barry Bailey Sr., whose age has not yet been released, was also indicted for that murder charge. According to the Jones County District Attorney's Office, Bailey Sr. was arrested following his indictment on May 31 and remains in the Jones County Jail.
The indictment doesn't say how Bailey Sr. was linked to the crime. Additional information was not released.
