BRECKENRIDGE, Texas - FEMA will be in Breckenridge this month helping people affected by the disastrous floods that hit the town earlier this summer.

Gov. Greg Abbott declared a disaster declaration for several counties including Stephens.

Representatives from FEMA will be available from Friday through Saturday, July 30 at the Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce located at 100 E. Elm St.

They will be on hand Monday through Friday until from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m., and Saturdays until 2 p.m.

FEMA representatives will be available to help individuals complete the documentation necessary for those individuals that have registered for possible assistance. They will also be able to register you if you have not already registered. The deadline is Aug. 10.

Residents seeking assistance will need to bring social security numbers for everyone in the household and any homeowner or business insurance policy information.
