Funeral arrangements set for deceased Clyde police officer

ABILENE, Texas - Funeral arrangements have been announced for deceased Clyde Police Officer Brian Campbell, who succumbed to stage four sarcoma Saturday.

According to Roger Parker, family visitation for Campbell will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Parker Funeral Home in Baird.

A procession will go along Interstate 20 from Parker Funeral Home to the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene on Wednesday. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m.

Parker said Campbell's family request that donations be made to the Clyde Police Department or a charity of choice in lieu of flowers. Donations to the department can be made at First Financial Bank branches.

Campbell worked as a K-9 officer with the Clyde Police Department and also worked with the Callahan County Sheriff's Office. He was 42 at the time of his death.
