Hermleigh ISD files lawsuit for damages at new school
HERMLEIGH, Texas - Hermleigh ISD filed a lawsuit against a construction manager and several other companies for damages at the district's new school.
According to the Snyder Daily News, the lawsuit said the district is seeking a jury trial and "monetary relief of over a million dollars."
The district is suing for breach of contract, among a list of other things. The construction manager was not identified.
The lawsuit said the district sustained damage to its building and equipment because of improper manufacturing and installation.
KTXS reached out to the superintendent for comment.
He would not say anything about the lawsuit, but he clarified that no students or staff were in danger at any time.
