AUSTIN, TX - Wednesday night, it was all about the upset for Colorado City. The Lady Wolves took it to top-seeded Brock in the class 3A State Semifinals by a score of 5-2 in front of a packed house inside McCombs Field on the campus of the University of Texas. Early in the 3rd inning is where it started, as Brittany Munoz led it off with a two-run RBI, giving C-City the 3-2 advantage, where the ladies kept their distance the rest of the game. Their state finals matchup against West has moved back a few hours to 9 p.m. Thursday night due to all the rain.

What a job this team has done so far, and last night's victory was made sweeter once they knew they took down the top dogs.

"I don't know if they knew they were number one, I didn't let them know that," smiled Colorado City head coach Liz White.

"But I think right now, we should be as confident as anybody, but we need to be, like I told them, be humble in your abilities and respect the abilities of others, and that's how we're going to approach tomorrow [Thursday]," she said.
