Lake Cisco closed due to flooding
CISCO, Texas - Lake Cisco is closed due to flooding. Mayor James King closed the lake Tuesday morning to recreational activities (boating and swimming) until further notice. In the ‘notice of lake closure' sent to KTXS, King said flooding conditions "have created a hazardous environment due to excessive debris and potential contamination from residential septic systems and other sources." King said those conditions could impact the safety of anyone using the lake as well as residents impacted by the flooding. Monday, the lake reached its highest level since 1999 and started going over the spillway.
