Lake Cisco reopens in time for holiday weekend
CISCO, Texas - Lake Cisco is back open just in time for the holiday weekend.
However, the reopening comes with a no wake condition.
That means boaters must travel at the slowest speed possible.
The lake closed in May because of flooding, but not everyone is excited about the lake being back open.
"You gotta think the frame of the house, it's gonna shift back and forth you know depending on the size of the wake, you know, small wakes like people idling by last night I don't see a problem with, but let's say someone decided to go water skiing or something like that I mean that could knock out windows just collapse the rest of whatever left of their home," said Jason Miller, who lives along the lake.
Swimming, paddle boats and fishing will be allowed.
