Boy, 14, ID'd as victim hit, killed by train in Eastland
EASTLAND, Texas —
UPDATE: The Eastland Police Department has confirmed the person hit by a train early Monday morning was a 14-year-old boy.
Police have not yet released his name. But, they are expected to issue a news release later today.
A man was hit and killed by a train in Eastland.
Just after midnight on Monday, the Eastland Fire Department was called to an accident between a train and a pedestrian at the Highway 3101 crossing.
Firefighters found the body of an unidentified man.
The body was taken to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
Police are trying to identify the victim and determine why he was on the tracks.
The train was operated by Union pacific.
There are crossing arms at the Hwy 301 crossing.
