Movers and shakers in week 5 AP Texas H.S. Football poll

ABILENE, Texas - Monday, the Associated Press released its week 5 Texas high school football rankings, and there were a few Big Country programs making moves.

Most notably, the Cooper Cougars. Cooper's big 62-3 win over Frenship enough to vault them from un-ranked, to 25th in this week's poll. The Cougars are 4-0 headed into Friday's road match at Austin Bowie.

In class 4A, Wylie went from No. 10 to unranked after suffering its second consecutive loss at the hands of No. 4 Argyle. Wylie is now 2-2 heading into a third road game at Brownfield, its final non-district test.

Eastland is the lone Big Country team in class 3A, saying 15th after a loss to No. 3 ranked Wall on Friday.

While finally in class 2A, the dominant Albany Lions remain at No. 6 in this weeks poll after demolishing Anson, While De Leon sneaks its way inside the top 10 at No. 10.
