Temperatures into 20s Friday morning
ABILENE, Texas —
The cold air blew back into our region Thursday morning. Winds for most of the day have been steady around 30 mph with gusts into middle 40s. These strong winds are forecast to rapidly decrease as the sun goes down.
Fair skies should continue Thursday night. Low temperatures Friday morning will be very cold – in the middle 20s. Make sure your outdoor pets will be warm and dry. Winds decrease from around 20 mph Thursday evening to less than 10 mph Friday morning.
Sunny skies are forecast for Friday. High temperatures should be around 50. Wind should only be in the 5-10 mph range.
Freezing temperatures should be with us again Saturday morning. Low should be in the lower 20s. Additional cold air is forecast to filter in during the day Saturday. High temperatures Saturday should only be in the lower 40s.
Freezing temperatures should be back Saturday night. Low temperatures Sunday morning should be in the 20s. Milder afternoon temperatures return for Sunday afternoon. With south winds, high temperatures Sunday should be back up into the middle 50s.
Mild temperatures are forecast to continue into Monday with afternoon temperatures in the middle 50s. Colder temperatures and mostly cloudy skies are expected for Tuesday and Wednesday.
