Warmer and windier Thursday

Meteorologist Mark Rowlett.jpg

Much of our area saw a freeze to start Wednesday. Even with nice sunshine, it was a cool day with highs only in the lower 60s in the Big Country Wednesday. Breezy south winds will bring back warmer temperatures Thursday.

Look for increasing clouds Wednesday night. Low temperatures Thursday morning should be around 40.

We expect to start the day Thursday with mostly cloudy skies, but mostly sunny skies are forecast for Thursday afternoon. High temperatures should warm to 70. Watch out for south winds at 10-20 mph.

Partly cloudy skies are expected Thursday night. Low temperatures Friday morning should be in the lower 50s. South winds at 20 mph should continue.

Friday is forecast to be partly cloudy with highs in the upper 70s. Even warmer temperatures are expected Saturday with highs in the middle 80s.

A cold front should move through Sunday morning with no rain expected. High temperatures Sunday through Wednesday will be cooler - in the 60s.

We could see a freeze again Monday morning. Lows should be in the 30s Tuesday and Wednesday.

Dry weather is likely to stay with us into next week.
