CLYDE, Texas - A woman in Clyde underestimated the police department's love of Dr Pepper.

Police pulled Gina Fagiani over for a routine traffic stop in the 100 block of South First Street around 8:50 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the car and searched the vehicle, Chief Robert Dalton told KTXS.

The officers reportedly found marijuana in the car. They also located a "beat up" can of Dr Pepper. A further investigation of the can revealed 5.2 grams of methamphetamine hidden inside.

Fagiana was arrested and charged with first-degree felony manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

"Nice try drug dealer," the Clyde Police Department's Facebook page said. "Clearly you didn't realize just how much Dr Pepper we drink, and how familiar we are with a can of this delicious beverage. "
