BANGS, Texas - Brown County deputies arrested two men Monday after finding marijuana inside a cereal box.

Robert Richardson, 19, and Burlin Smith, 58, both face charges of possessing less than five pounds of marijuana in a drug free zone, according to the Brown County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies reported that the suspect's car was stopped in front of Bangs High School for an out-of-date registration sticker. The responding deputy smelled marijuana and conducted a search of the vehicle.

Inside the trunk, deputies found a Froot Loop cereal box with 5.2 ounces of marijuana hidden where the spare tire is located, according to the sheriff's office.

Smith remained in jail on a $7,500 bond, according to the Brown County Jail's website. Richardson bailed out on Monday.
