3 arrested with meth at Brownwood motorcycle shop
BROWNWOOD, Texas - Brown County deputies arrested three people on Friday for allegedly having meth on them at a Brownwood motorcycle shop after the store was closed.
Patrick Tharp, 52, faces a charge of possessing more than one gram but less than four grams of meth, according to the probable cause report. Deputies conducted a search at the House of Wheels Friday night, after the business owner agreed to the search.
Court documents state that deputies received "information that were was ongoing [meth] activity at the business after business hours."
Documents also state that Tharp gave deputies permission to do a body search. They found a glass meth pipe and 2.2 grams of meth, according to their report.
Two other people were also arrested at the motorcycle store that Friday night. Jason Richards, 43, had less than a gram of methamphetamine in a cigarette package. Deputies also claimed to have discovered a meth pipe with residue inside Carrie Cox's purse.
Richards and Cox, 32, are facing possession charges. Both remain in jail, according to Brown County Jail records.
Tharp posted a $15,000 bond on Saturday, according to the jail's website.
