Brown County Sheriff's Office seeking tips in case of theft of $20,000 worth of cattle
BROWN COUNTY, Texas —
Information is being sought in a Brown County theft case involving 10 heifers worth a combined estimated value of $20,000 being stolen, according to a press release from Heart of Texas Crime Stoppers.
The release states that the theft of the cattle happened sometime between March 6 and April 30 on the 12000 block of County Road 225.
Heart of Texas Crime Stoppers is describing the heifers as Black Angus and Black Angus/Charolais mix, some of which are branded with the number "15" on the left hip and others of which that are branded with a “P".
The long line of the "P" makes an "L" at the bottom, with a branding of "PL" connected on the left hip, according to the Heart of Texas Crime Stoppers.
The heifers approximately weigh somewhere between 900 to 1,000 pounds.

A person is eligible for a cash reward if the tip that they share leads to an arrest in the cattle theft case.
