Worley wins GOP runoff for Brown County commissioner nomination
BROWN COUNTY, Texas - Brown County voters picked Gary Worley as their GOP candidate for county commissioner precinct one in the November elections.
Worley beat his challenger, Tommy Blevins, with 53 percent of the vote in runoff elections. He won by less than 75 votes.
He has served as county commissioner for the precinct for the last four years. Blevins campaigned on being against Worley's vote for a $7 million construction project to build a new treasurer's and election's building.
A Democratic opponent hasn't challenged Worley for the Brown County Commissioner Precinct 1 seat in the November election. There still remains the a chance for a write-in candidate.
