The body of Austin bomber Mark Anthony Conditt has been released to his family, a spokesperson for Williamson County confirmed on Tuesday.

Conditt, 23, died last Wednesday after detonating a bomb in his vehicle on I-35 in Round Rock as police closed in on him after three weeks of random bombings that left two people dead and multiple others injured.

A justice of the peace in WilCo ruled Conditt's death a suicide. Police say Conditt left behind a confession video, in which he said "I wish I were sorry, but I am not."

Even after Conditt's death, the investigation in to the deadly bombings continues.

Rep. Michael McCaul said on Monday that one of Conditt's roommates remains a "person of interest" in the case.
