BROWN COUNTY, Texas —
A man from the Dallas-Fort Worth area was sentenced in Brown County to serve 99 years in prison.
Homero Avitia Retana, 38, of Farmers Branch, was sentenced Wednesday by Brown County-Court-at-Law Judge Sam Moss.
He was convicted Tuesday for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
According to Judge Moss's Office, Retana received the maximum sentence of 99 years because it was his 10th felony.
Retana was sentenced by Judge Moss after waiving his right to a jury trial.
