Man being pulled by huskies across U.S. stops in Abilene to raise awareness

ABILENE, Texas - A man and his dogs are trekking across the United States in efforts to spread joy and hope.

George Cutright and his Siberian huskies, Sarah and Lobos, began their journey in Knoxville, Tennessee and are on their way to Venice Beach, California.

The traveling trio made a stop in Abilene on Wednesday.

Cutright, who is homeless, tells KTXS he is making the 2,400-mile trip to spread happiness while also raising awareness for homelessness, as well as rescue dogs like Sarah and Lobos.

He says he hopes to make to Venice Beach in April 2018.
