Man, 55, killed in fiery Scurry County crash
SCURRY COUNTY, Texas —
A 55-year-old Austin man was killed in a fiery car crash late Thursday near Snyder.
According to police, David Arriaga was traveling north on State Highway 208 in Scurry County, about 14 miles south of Snyder, when his 1992 Honda Accord veered off the road and went into a side skid.
The Accord flipped multiple times before bursting into flames. Arriaga was pronounced dead at the scene. His was taken to Miller Funeral Home in Snyder.
The accident occurred about 11:55 p.m. Thursday.
It wasn't immediately known if Arriaga was wearing his seat belt.
The crash remains under investigation.
