EL PASO, Texas (AP) - A 19-year-old man has been sentenced to 60 years in prison in a fatal shooting in El Paso in 2014.

The El Paso Times reports that a jury sentenced Gustavo Valencia on Monday in the death of 18-year-old Aaron Ochoa in a parking lot in October 2014.

Authorities say Valencia and 20-year-old Miguel Bygoytia shot Ochoa 10 times a few blocks away from Paso Del Norte Charter School, where both Bygoytia and Ochoa were students.

Trial testimony showed that the shooting stemmed from an argument between Bygoytia and Ochoa.

Bygoytia and suspected getaway driver Armando Torres face murder charges and are awaiting trial. It wasn't immediately clear if Bygoytia and Torres have lawyers.
