Danielle Dozier joined the KTXS weather team in June of 2007. She admits she is excited to be here to help people with their outdoor plans, “I am happy to be here to answer the one question they ask themselves everyday when they wake up; what will the weather be like today?”

Danielle's hometown is Chesapeake, Virginia where she received her Associates Degree in Science from Tidewater Community College . She then moved to Asheville , North Carolina where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Weather Forecasting from the University of North Carolina at Asheville . “Weather is something that I have been interested in since I was a little girl. I remember watching weather movies and gazing at the sky during severe weather wondering what was going to happen next.”

Along with her education at UNCA, Danielle previously interned with the National Weather Service in Greenville , South Carolina . She also interned with WLOS-TV news station in Asheville , North Carolina . Since then, she has been working in the field of broadcast meteorology.

Besides studying and forecasting the weather, Danielle enjoys music, playing and watching sports. You can catch Danielle on the weekends on KTXS.
