Janet Kwak is proud to be part of the KTXS News Team. She traded in golden beaches in Southern California for open skies in West Central Texas, but she is happy to call the Big Country her new home.

Janet graduated from UC Berkeley with degrees in Political Science, Mass Communications, and a minor in Spanish Literature. During her time at Cal , she studied in countries like Spain and South Korea ; she is fluent in three languages.

While preparing for a career in law, she was bitten by the news bug after working at KTVU2 in Northern California 's bay area. She then ventured south to learn the ropes of tv news at several stations, including KTLA and CBS2/KCAL9, before she went on-air as a reporter for a cable station in Orange County . You can now catch her anchoring at the desk at 5pm and reporting in the field for the 10 o'clock news, and occasionally for Telemundo.

When she's not on the job, Janet loves to whip up a storm in the kitchen, work out, or catch a good read. She's also a member of Asian American Journalists Association.
