Jennifer is thrilled to be apart of the KTXS News Team. She was born and raised in Brownsville , Texas but moved with her family to San Antonio when she was 12, so she calls the Alamo city her home. Jennifer got the reporter “bug” when she was four years old. Her mother says when they were watching TV Jennifer pointed to the newscasters and said, “That's what I want to do!” So she's pursued Journalism starting in middle school as a sports writer and never looked back. She completed two internships during college: A sports internship at KSAT-12 in San Antonio and a news internship at KXAN 36 in Austin , Texas . She graduated with a Broadcast Journalism degree from Texas State University-San Marcos. Jennifer is obsessed with staying informed and watching the news on her spare time. But Jennifer's passion is sports. She is a huge Atlanta Braves and San Antonio Spurs fan. On her spare time Jennifer enjoys watching movies with her husband Roberto and playing baseball. Jennifer has two wonderful parents, two older brothers (one who's proudly serving the U.S. Army overseas) and a beautiful nephew Gabriel Joaquin.
