CANYON LAKE, Texas – A family acquaintance claims a local man took a Fireball shot inside Nancy Pelosi’s office during the U.S. Capitol riots.

The FBI claims it can prove he was there.

Treniss Jewell Evans III, of Canyon Lake, was outed days after the riots when the family acquaintance said they were told he went inside Pelosi’s office to take shots of the liquor.

Another tipster then gave the FBI a link to a Facebook video, allegedly showing Evans with a megaphone. The video shows Evans saying “I don’t support looting, I don’t support the violence, I support a peaceful protest to put them on notice that we the people demand justice,” according to federal court documents.

The FBI used a photo a witness provided to confirm the video was Evans, then went to his Canyon Lake home to speak with him.

Officials say Evans answered the door when they knocked, but he would not talk, saying he had been advised not to speak without a lawyer present.

So, the FBI said it got a search warrant for his mobile device, which allegedly shows Evans was at the Capitol on the day and at the time of the riots.

They also say they have CCTV footage of Evans, who was supposedly in the Capitol for about 20 minutes, possibly taking video of himself and walking around.

Evans had a hearing March 4 in San Antonio, his preliminary hearing on March 19 is scheduled downtown. He’s accused of obstruction of justice/congress, knowingly entering a restricted building and violent entry on Capitol grounds.
