HILLIARD, Ohio (WSYX) — A 6-year-old boy from Ohio was celebrated by his community after he completed his last chemotherapy treatment.

Columbus fire and police, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, and the Hilliard Police Department drove through Aidan's neighborhood Saturday morning to help celebrate his milestone.

Aidan, who attends Hilliard City Schools, has been undergoing leukemia treatment at Nationwide Children's Hospital since he was 2 years old.

Organizers say the hospital typically holds a bell-ringing ceremony after patients complete their final treatment, but due to COVID those activities are not taking place.
