Fire destroys Eula house
EULA, Texas - A home in Eula is a total loss after a fast burning fire Sunday afternoon. Firefighters responded to a call in the 10300 block of County Road 236 at 2:40 p.m. Firefighters said fire burned so quickly most of the home was destroyed and there was a lot of ammunition inside the home that could be heard popping. Several departments responded and worked together to put the fire out. " It's a blessing we cross train these guys are family from one department to the other. We're just all volunteers trying to help the community, " said E ula VFD Assistant Chief Charlie Dawson. " We have the electric company here to make sure the electricity is cut off. The firemen are at this time cleaning up, making it safe and in the process of notifying the owners, " said Callahan County Sheriff Terry Joy. No one was hurt in the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
