KTXS Forecast: Average temperatures return to finish out the week

Good morning! As you’re getting up conditions outside are mostly clear with temperatures in the low 30s to low 40s and winds are out of the north/ northwest at 5-10 mph. ABILENE, Texas -


Thursday afternoon the region is going to have normal high temperatures in the mid/ upper 50s with mostly sunny skies and have north/ northeast winds at 5-15 mph. Thursday night we’ll be mostly clear to partly cloudy and in the low/ mid-30s.


For Friday, highs will remain in the mid/ upper 50s with mostly sunny conditions and winds will drop back to the southwest at 5-10 mph. Friday night the region will build in a little bit of cloud cover and we’ll cool to the low 30s to upper 30s.


Into the weekend, on Saturday, temperatures will warm to the low/ mid-60 with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and winds will build out of the southwest at 10-20 mph. Saturday night we will be partly cloudy with lows in the upper 30s/ low 40s as a new cold front pushes into the region. There will be a 10-30 percent chance of scattered showers overnight.


By Sunday afternoon highs will be back in the upper 50s/ low 60s with clearing skies and winds will be out of the north at 5-10 mph. Sunday night is going to be mostly clear to partly cloudy and in the low/ mid-30s.


Currently, Monday through Wednesday looks like it will be mostly sunny with highs hovering around the low/ mid-60s and have winds mainly from the west/ southwest at 5-10 mph. Lows through this period will be in the low/ mid-30s with mostly clear conditions.
