KTXS Forecast: Cloudy with scattered showers expected
ABILENE, Texas - We are tracking dense fog over much of eastern Texas Monday evening. We could see some fog return to areas east of Abilene.
An upper level disturbance near El Paso Monday evening is forecast to move east through our area during the day Tuesday. Scattered showers and thundershowers are expected in our area. Severe storms are not expected here, but we could have locally heavy rainfall and lightning.
Cloudy skies are expected for Monday night. Low temperatures Tuesday morning should be around 50. Showers could already be in the Concho Valley before sunrise.

Skies should rapidly clear from southwest to northeast Tuesday night. Low temperatures Wednesday morning should be around 40.
Sunny skies are back for Wednesday and Thursday with afternoon temperatures in the 70s.
A cold front is forecast to move in Thursday night and bring back colder, more normal temperatures for Friday. Look for partly cloudy skies with highs in the upper 40s Friday.
Mostly clear skies are forecast for Saturday. Lows should be in the upper 20s with highs in the lower 50s.
A stronger surge of cold air is forecast to move in Sunday. Some clouds are expected and light snow flurries will be possible, but troubling, wintry weather is not expected. Watch out for strong north winds. Low temperatures Sunday should be in the middle 20s with high temperatures maybe warming into the upper 30s.
Clear skies are forecast for Christmas Day. It will be cold with lows near 20 and highs in the middle 40s.
