KTXS Forecast: Finally beginning to clear out and warm up.
Good morning! As you’re getting up conditions outside are partly cloudy to mostly cloudy with temperatures in the low/ mid-20s and winds are out of the south/ southeast at 5-10 mph. Once again fog will be possible during the morning commute and roadway conditions should be much better than yesterday morning.ABILENE, Texas -
Thursday afternoon the region will slowly begin to clear starting from north of I20 and moving southward. Highs will range from the mid-40s to low 50s with winds from the south/ southwest at 5-10 mph. Lows into Thursday night will be back below freezing in the upper 20s/ low 30s with partly cloudy conditions.
For Friday highs will be back around normal in the mid/ upper 50s with mostly sunny skies and winds will be out of the southwest at 5-10 mph. Friday night we will be mostly clear to partly cloudy and in the upper 30s/ low 40s.
Into the weekend, for Saturday, we will build cloud cover through the afternoon as another cold front moves into the region. Highs will range from the upper 40s to mid-50s and winds will turn to the north at 5-10 mph with a 10-20 percent chance of scattered showers through the afternoon. Saturday night lows will cool to the low/ mid-30s with partly cloudy skies.
Then on Sunday, we will get a stronger reinforcing cold front that will put highs in the mid/ upper 30s. Winds are going to build out of the northeast at 10-20 mph with a 20 percent chance of rain/ winter mix through the afternoon. Sunday night lows drop to the teens/ low 20s across the region with cloudy skies. There will be a 10 percent chance of a wintery mix/ snow going into Sunday night.
Monday and Tuesday look like they will be partly cloudy with highs well below normal in the low/ mid-30s and winds will mainly be out of the northeast/ east at 5-10 mph. Lows through this period will be in the mid-teens to mid-20s with partly cloudy conditions.
Currently, for Wednesday, it looks like skies will clear to mostly sunny conditions into the afternoon with highs in the mid-40s.
