ABILENE, Texas - A strong cold front blew into our area Thursday night.  Daytime temperatures stayed in the 30s for most areas Friday.

An upper level low pressure system brought rain back to much of the eastern half of our area early Friday morning.  Light showers of sleet or snow moved into our northwestern areas late Friday afternoon.

Another band of light snow is clipping our extreme northern counties Friday night.  No accumulations of ice or snow have been reported in our area.

The upper level system is moving out of our area Friday night.  Fair skies are expected for Saturday and dry weather should continue for Sunday and Monday.

Decreasing clouds are forecast for the rest of Friday night.  Low temperatures Saturday morning should be around 30.

Sunny skies and increasing southwest winds should warm temperatures back to near 60 Saturday afternoon.

Southwest winds back up to around 15 mph Saturday night should keep low temperatures Sunday morning in the low to middle 40s.

Another cold front should move in around sunrise Sunday with just a few clouds and no precipitation.  Strong north winds at 20-25 mph will make it feel chilly again.  High temperatures Sunday will struggle to reach the upper 40s.

Clear skies and a hard freeze are forecast for Sunday night.  Low temperatures Christmas morning should be in the middle 20s.

Mostly sunny skies are forecast for Christmas Day.  Afternoon temperatures should warm back into the middle 50s.

Dry weather is expected Tuesday with rain chances returning Wednesday.
