KTXS Forecast: Warm Thursday

ABILENE, Texas - The winter season begins at 10:28 AM CST Thursday.  However it will not feel much like winter Thursday.  Cooler air should be back with us for the second day of winter.

Mostly fair skies should continue Wednesday night.  Low temperatures Thursday morning should be in the middle to upper 40s.

Mostly sunny skies are forecast for the day Thursday.  High temperatures should range from the middle 70s to lower 80s.  These readings will be about 20 degrees above normal for this time of year.

Cloudy skies are expected for Thursday night.  A cold front should move through before sunrise Friday.  Best chances for rain with this front should be areas south and east of Abilene.  Low temperatures Friday morning should be in the upper 30s.

Rain is forecast to move east of our area by noon Friday.  Late day sunshine is expected for our northwestern areas.  High temperatures Friday should be in in the 40s.

Look for clearing skies Friday night.  A freeze is expected for Saturday morning with lows around 30.

Enjoy sunny skies again Saturday with afternoon temperatures warming into the middle 50s.

Another cold front is forecast to blow through our area Saturday night.  No precipitation is expected with this front.  Low temperatures Sunday morning should be in the upper 20s.

Sunny skies are forecast for Christmas Eve, but high temperatures should only warm into the 40s.

Fair skies should continue Sunday night.  Low temperatures Christmas morning should be in the upper 20s.

Temperatures should warm into the middle 50s Christmas afternoon with sunny skies.

Clouds and warmer temperatures are forecast for Tuesday.
