KTXS Forecast: Warming trend begins Wednesday
ABILENE, Texas - Light snow fell over much of our area during the day Tuesday. Fortunately, it really didn't cause any problems as just trace amounts were observed for most locations.
Clear skies moved back in from north to south during the late afternoon and evening Tuesday. Freezing temperatures continued over our region all day Tuesday.
Fair skies should stay with us Tuesday night. Low temperatures Wednesday morning should be in the teens.
Sunny skies and west winds should finally warm temperatures above freezing by lunchtime Wednesday. Enjoy high temperatures in the upper 40s Wednesday afternoon.
Freezing temperatures will return for Wednesday night. Low temperatures Thursday morning should be in the middle 20s.
An upper level disturbance is forecast to pass south of our area during the day Thursday. We do expect some clouds, but dry weather is forecast to hold for our area. High temperatures Thursday should be near 50.
Temperatures are forecast to fall back to around freezing Friday morning with fair skies. Sunny skies should be with us for the day Friday. High temperatures should warm into the upper 50s Friday.
Fair skies are expected for Saturday and partly cloudy skies are likely for Sunday. High temperatures should be near 60 Saturday and in the middle 60s Sunday. Dry weather is expected to continue through the weekend.
