Motorists from Abilene, Clyde killed in Nolan County head-on crash
NOLAN COUNTY, Texas - Two people were killed in a car accident Sunday morning in Nolan County. Sweetwater Fire Chief Grant Madden said it happened one mile north of Roscoe on US 84. Sgt. Frederick Biddle, a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety, said it happened at 6:25 a.m. Biddle said Bobby Mack Moody, 85, of Abilene, was traveling southbound in a 2013 Dodge Caravan on US 84. Biddle said Moody was traveling south in the northbound lane and crashed head-on into Stephen Joshua Arndt, 34, of Clyde, who was driving a 2015 Subaru Impreza. Biddle said both men were wearing seatbelts and were pronounced dead at the scene. Their bodies were taken to McCoy's Funeral Home in Sweetwater. The crash is under investigation.
