Tuesday rainfall totals: More than 1 inch in some areas of Big Country

Precipitation totals

ABILENE, Texas - An upper level disturbance moved through our area Tuesday and brought locally heavy rainfall and frequent lightning.

The Abilene Regional Airport measured 0.90 inches of rain Tuesday which is the most since the same amount was recorded back on November 8th.

Just trace amounts of rain were measured between Tuesday and that early November rainfall - so it has been dry.

Even with the nice rainfall in Abilene, the airport observation site is still over 3.5" below normal for the year.
